WINNER's Comeback Delayed Amid Song Min-ho's Legal Troubles

WINNER's much-anticipated full group comeback has been indefinitely postponed due to member Song Min-ho's legal issues regarding his military service. While Song Min-ho faces these challenges, the other members are actively pursuing individual projects in entertainment and solo music.

Leader Kang Seung-yoon, who completed his military service in December 2024, had promised a swift return with Song Min-ho, stating, "I will greet you soon hand in hand with Min-ho." However, Song Min-ho's legal proceedings have cast doubt on this promise.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the group's activities, Kang Seung-yoon continues to thrive in his solo career. He released his second full album, 'PAGE 2,' last November, taking on the role of producer for all tracks. Recently, he appeared on MBN and Channel S's 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3,' where he shared updates about the group. During the show, he humorously remarked, "We haven't made a comeback recently," and expressed his personal wish to marry in his 40s for a stable life in his 50s.

Members Lee Seung-hoon and Kim Jin-woo are also engaging with fans through various entertainment and performance activities. Lee Seung-hoon is set to appear on the new ENA variety show 'Crazy Tour,' alongside singer Rain, actor Kim Moo-yeol, and YouTuber Pani Bottle, which premieres on the 28th. In the teaser, he is seen interacting with the cast, raising anticipation. He also captivated audiences with a solo stage during WINNER's concert last July. Kim Jin-woo recently joined Kang Seung-yoon on 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3' in Anyang, updating fans on his activities. Like his bandmates, he showcased his talents in a solo performance during WINNER's Seoul concert last July.

According to entertainment industry sources on the 13th, Song Min-ho is currently facing charges of violating military service laws. The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office alleges that Song Min-ho was absent without leave for 102 days out of his 430-day social service duty. Notably, in July 2024, just before his discharge, he reportedly missed 19 days of work in a single month. His first court hearing is scheduled for April 21.
