Lee Seo-jin to Make Stage Debut in 'Uncle Vanya' After 27 Years in the Industry

Actor Lee Seo-jin is set to make his stage debut after 27 years in the entertainment industry. Known for his frequent appearances on Na Young-seok's variety shows, Lee will not be participating in the producer's upcoming new show.

Lee Seo-jin will star in the play 'Uncle Vanya' from May 7 to 31 at the LG Art Center Seoul, LG SIGNATURE Hall. 'Uncle Vanya' tells the story of ordinary people like Vanya and Sonya, who have dedicated their lives to their family and home, only to find their lives disrupted and shaken.

In the play, Lee takes on the role of Vanya, a character who constantly expresses dissatisfaction and doubt about life while maintaining affection for his family and dreams. Having showcased a versatile acting range in both dramas and films, Lee will once again expand his acting repertoire by performing in close proximity to the audience.

This marks Lee Seo-jin's first time on stage in his 27-year career. He will perform as the sole cast member for all 22 shows, weaving together the universal pains, joys, and ironies of life to deliver a profound impact on the audience.

Recently, Lee Seo-jin showcased his unique charm and presence on the SBS variety show 'My Manager is Too Harsh - Secretary Kim,' where he impressed with his attentive and personalized care. In 'Uncle Vanya,' he is expected to deliver a nuanced performance alongside some of the theater's most talented actors.

Tickets for 'Uncle Vanya' will go on sale starting at 2 PM on the 27th through the LG Art Center Seoul website and major ticketing platforms.
