Comedian Kim Hak-rae Stuns with Muscular Physique at 73 on 'Perfect Life'

Comedian Kim Hak-rae, husband of Im Mi-sook, has amazed fans with his muscular physique at the age of 73. Once known for controversies in his youth, Kim now showcases a disciplined lifestyle in his 70s.

Kim Hak-rae will appear on TV CHOSUN's 'Perfect Life' airing today at 8 PM.

MC Hyun Young welcomed Kim, referring to him as the 'original handsome man' of the comedy world, and asked if he had ever been compared to someone famous in his youth. She mentioned the late Leslie Cheung, to which comedian Lee Seong-mi humorously replied, "Not Leslie Cheung, but 'Jang Gu-gyeo'."

Hyun Young praised Kim's youthful appearance, noting his meticulous self-care. Kim emphasized the importance of staying active as one ages, stating, "You must be diligent."

The show highlighted Kim's vibrant lifestyle, showcasing his workout routine with fellow comedian Bae Young-man. Kim impressed everyone with his leg strength, lifting a total of 220kg, prompting Shin Seung-hwan to comment on his hidden muscular legs.

Kim, who has been exercising for 15 years, reiterated the significance of consistent workouts. After performing a 'leg extension' exercise with ease, Hyun Young joked that he seemed more like 37 than 73, bringing a smile to Kim's face.

After his workout, Kim met with fellow comedians and expressed his longing for the late Jeon Yoo-sung. He recalled Jeon's words, "I'll wait for you there," and shared his wish that Jeon could have held on a bit longer.

'Perfect Life' airs today at 8 PM.

Kim Hak-rae married Im Mi-sook in 1990. Im has previously shared her struggles with panic disorder due to Kim's past infidelity and gambling. The couple now runs a successful Chinese restaurant with an annual revenue of 30 billion KRW. Their home, featured on a variety show, boasts a spacious living room, kitchen, and a view of the L Tower in Jamsil, along with an impressive collection of luxury bags.
