Actress Jeon Won-ju Splurges $5,000 on Dermatology Treatment, Breaking Her Thrifty Image

Actress Jeon Won-ju, known for her frugal lifestyle, recently made headlines by spending a whopping 5 million won (approximately $5,000) on dermatology treatments.

On October 3rd, Jeon appeared on the YouTube channel 'Jeon Won-ju_Jeon Won-ju In-gong' in a video titled 'Jeon Won-ju Gets a Multi-Million Won Skin Lifting Treatment in Cheongdam-dong, Looking 20 Years Younger. But How Much Did It Cost?!!!!'.

In the video, Jeon visited a dermatology clinic with fellow actress Seo Woo-rim. Jeon candidly shared her thoughts, saying, "I don't usually dress up or put on airs. I'm so honest that it's worrisome." She continued, "As I age, I dislike looking in the mirror. My face is wrinkled and has many dark spots." Despite her usual thriftiness, she agreed to spend money on skincare, saying, "I understand. I'll spend it."

Jeon expressed her concerns about aging, stating, "Even as a woman, it's unpleasant to look wrinkled. It must be worse for men." She humorously added, "As you age, TV shows don't want to cast you." Her joke about wanting to "jump" on Seo Woo-rim due to her beauty brought laughter to the scene.

After a thorough examination, the dermatologist praised Jeon's skin, saying it appeared 10-15 years younger than her actual age. She was recommended six treatments, including toning and lifting. During the consultation, Jeon humorously asked about the cost, saying, "The prices here are no joke. What's the base cost?"

When the doctor mentioned the combined treatments would cost around 5 million won, Seo Woo-rim expressed her surprise, saying, "I'll wait to see how beautiful you become." As the procedures began, Jeon described the experience as "torturous," but endured it, saying, "I bear it because they say I'll become prettier."

Post-treatment, Seo Woo-rim admired Jeon's smooth, youthful skin, while Jeon expressed her satisfaction, saying, "You have to spend money. I feel great." She then paid the 5 million won bill with her card, showcasing a stark contrast to her usual thrifty image.

Jeon Won-ju is known for her extreme frugality, such as using half a sheet of toilet paper and relying on cosmetic samples. She reportedly keeps her home lights off to save on electricity and is said to own gold bars worth 1 billion won (approximately $1 million) and have total assets exceeding 4 billion won (approximately $4 million).
