Actress Park Kyung-hye Moves to Gangnam: A Journey to Independence
On the 1st, Park Kyung-hye's YouTube channel 'Kyung-hye's Vlog' featured a video titled 'But.. It's Beyond What You Imagine'.
In the video, Park Kyung-hye revealed, "At 33, I'm living independently for the first time. Now, I'm a Gangnam Yeoksam-dong person," catching the attention of viewers. Visiting a real estate agency alone for the first time, she shared her concerns, "There aren't many monthly rental options. Should I go for a lease instead?"
Explaining her decision to live independently in her 30s, Park Kyung-hye said, "I was sleep-deprived. Traffic in the suburbs can be heavy within just 10 minutes. Since my appointments and acting classes are in Gangnam, I decided to find a place there. I delayed it because change is hard for me, but now I've taken the step."
Particularly, on days with 7 AM shoots, she would wake up at 4:20 AM and endure until evening, driving herself home. She admitted, "I thought I liked driving, but it was actually dangerous. Driving while tired is risky. I can't endure it anymore."
Meanwhile, Park Kyung-hye's first independent house was revealed. The space, lacking a room and only having a bathroom, featured a moldy ceiling, leftover food scraps, a rusty bathroom shelf, and dirty windows, highlighting the reality of living alone.
Park Kyung-hye confessed, "The cleaning fee was too high, so I tried to clean it myself, but it was impossible," eventually hiring a cleaning service. She spent two days sleeping on the floor with just a blanket. After furnishing the place with her chosen furniture and lighting, she expressed satisfaction with her new home.
