Love Catcher Star Kim Ji-yeon and Baseball Player Jung Chul-won's Divorce Battle Intensifies

The ongoing divorce battle between 'Love Catcher' star Kim Ji-yeon and professional baseball player Jung Chul-won has taken a new turn as Kim's legal representative has issued an official statement.

On the 2nd, Lee Jae-hee, an attorney from the law firm Haeden representing Kim Ji-yeon, stated, "There are numerous speculative rumors surrounding this case, and since Jung Chul-won's side has also mentioned custody through their legal representative, we wish to express an official stance on behalf of Kim Ji-yeon."

The attorney explained, "Since their marriage, Kim Ji-yeon has suffered from domestic violence while raising their young child. Recently, many have reported suspicions of Jung Chul-won's infidelity. Despite this, Kim Ji-yeon tried to resolve the issues amicably for the sake of their child and maintain the marriage. However, the child's father left home and stopped paying child support."

The attorney added, "Kim Ji-yeon prioritizes protecting her child and securing custody in all future proceedings and is prepared to take legal action if necessary."

Kim Ji-yeon gained public attention through the 2018 reality show 'Love Catcher.' She announced her pregnancy with Lotte Giants pitcher Jung Chul-won in March last year and gave birth to a son in August. The couple married in December but separated just over a month later. They are currently embroiled in a legal dispute over custody.

Many have shown interest and support for Kim Ji-yeon's family matters, for which she is deeply grateful. However, there are numerous speculative rumors, some of which are false and causing secondary harm. Since Jung Chul-won's side has also mentioned custody through their legal representative, we wish to express an official stance on behalf of Kim Ji-yeon.

As reported by the media, Kim Ji-yeon has suffered from domestic violence while raising their young child. Recently, many have reported suspicions of Jung Chul-won's infidelity.

Despite this, Kim Ji-yeon tried to resolve the issues amicably for the sake of their child and maintain the marriage. However, she feels deeply frustrated as the child's father left home, stopped paying child support, and mentioned divorce and custody through his legal representative.
