STAYC's Sieun to Make Musical Debut in 'Seopyeonje'
Sieun, a member of the popular K-pop group STAYC and daughter of actor Park Nam-jung, is set to expand her career horizons.

On April 2, High Up Entertainment announced that Sieun has been cast in the musical 'Seopyeonje,' which will open at the Gwanglim Art Center BBCH Hall on April 30.

'Seopyeonje' is based on the short story of the same name by author Lee Cheong-jun. The musical explores the meaning of life and the value of art through the journey of a family of traditional Korean singers. It delves into family conflicts, choices, and reconciliation, all centered around the art of pansori.

Sieun will take on the role of Songhwa, a true artist who defies her fate and pursues her own path. Songhwa is a character who has built her life and identity through music, growing as an artist through times of wandering and separation. Despite numerous trials, she reaches a pinnacle through her art, embodying the emotional depth and message of the work.

This marks Sieun's first foray into musicals since her debut. Fans are eager to see how she will showcase her talents as both an artist and an actress on stage.

Sieun has gained a strong fanbase both domestically and internationally through her activities with STAYC, showcasing her solid skills. Drawing from her experience as a child actress, she plans to bring a contemporary sensibility to the emotions of Songhwa in 'Seopyeonje' and bring them to life on stage.

Sieun made her debut in 2014 with the children's drama 'Pluto Secret Society,' marking her 11th anniversary this year. 'Seopyeonje' will run until July 19, offering audiences a chance to experience this captivating performance.
