On November 1, Fantagio released a statement saying, "Kim Seon-ho is currently under an exclusive contract with Fantagio in his personal capacity and is diligently complying with all legal and tax procedures related to his current contractual relationship and activities. We want to make it clear that there are no issues regarding his contract and activities."

The statement continued, "The one-person corporation mentioned in the report was established for theater production and related activities, and it was not set up for intentional tax avoidance or evasion. However, since moving to Fantagio, no actual business activities have been conducted for over a year, and the corporation is currently undergoing closure procedures in accordance with relevant laws and procedures."

Previously, on November 1, a media outlet reported on Kim Seon-ho's alleged tax evasion. According to the report, Kim Seon-ho established a separate corporation at his residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in January 2024, under the guise of performance planning. Kim Seon-ho was the CEO of this corporation, with his parents listed as internal directors and auditors.

The media outlet analyzed that this corporation was more of a special-purpose entity for asset management and income distribution rather than actual business activities. It further alleged that salaries were paid to his parents through the corporate account and then returned, and that the corporate card was used for personal expenses and entertainment, raising suspicions of tax evasion and fund misappropriation.
