Korean Actor Byun Woo-seok Shares Personal Insights and Future Aspirations

Korean actor Byun Woo-seok recently opened up about his personal experiences and future aspirations in a candid interview.

On October 30, the YouTube channel 'Harper's Bazaar Korea' released a video titled 'Q&A Time with Byun Woo-seok, the Joker of All Women! #BFaceInterview'.

During the video, Byun Woo-seok read comments filled with affection from fans. Responding to comments like "Why doesn't your beauty adhere to the 52-hour workweek law?" and "Why are you always handsome morning, noon, and night?", he expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you. I always draw strength from such support to keep filming."

When asked about the character he resembles the most, Byun Woo-seok shared, "Every character is somewhat similar and somewhat different. Rather than resembling them, I wish to be like them."

Regarding his role as Ryu Sun-jae in the popular drama 'Run Away with Sun-jae', he explained, "I want to emulate his dedication to his work and his sincerity in every moment."

Byun Woo-seok also revealed his current musical preferences, stating, "Lately, I've been listening to 'Gajana' by So Soo-bin from 'Sing Again' quite often."

When asked about his favorite winter snacks, he mentioned "fish-shaped bread, hotteok, and strawberries." He humorously explained why he no longer enjoys 'stevia roasted chestnuts', saying, "I haven't eaten them in a while. Sometimes when I ordered them, they weren't tasty. After being disappointed two or three times, I stopped ordering them."

Having risen to fame after 'Run Away with Sun-jae', Byun Woo-seok expressed his desire for rest, saying, "If I had a month's vacation, I would want to sleep properly, do nothing for a long time, and not think about anything."

He also expressed interest in exploring new genres, particularly 'fantasy', stating, "I love fantasy. I want to challenge myself with characters in a world created by imagination."

Reflecting on the past year, which he described as 'time flying by', Byun Woo-seok thanked his fans, saying, "Thanks to all of you, it was a very happy year. I hope 2026 is filled with only happy moments. Please continue to support me."

Meanwhile, Byun Woo-seok is set to star alongside IU in the upcoming MBC drama '21st Century Grand Lady', premiering in April.
