Comedian Lee Guk-joo recently shared updates from her life in Japan.

On the 28th, Lee posted on her Instagram, "I went on a date 🤭 with Tanaka, I mean Kyung-wook oppa," along with two photos.

In the photos, Lee is seen posing affectionately with fellow comedian Kim Kyung-wook. She humorously noted, "We've known each other for a long time, but this was the first time we had a meal and talked alone (we weren't close 🤭)." She added, "We had delicious food and fun. Oh! Except for when he got distracted by a pretty girl passing by. Oppa, be careful next time~"

Kim Kyung-wook debuted as a comedian in 2001 through SBS's 6th open recruitment. He gained popularity with his alter ego, Tanaka, in late 2022. Recently, he was seen enjoying a trip to Japan with Japanese TV personality Sayuri, displaying some friendly skinship.

Meanwhile, Lee Guk-joo began living in a 9-pyeong studio apartment in Tokyo last April. She explained, "I'm turning 40, and next year marks my 20th anniversary since debut. I wanted to take on a new challenge. I vaguely thought, 'If I can speak Japanese, maybe I can try something.'" When some netizens criticized her for living alone because she can afford it, Lee clarified, "This isn't a challenge or living alone like in my 20s. I'm in my 40s," and added, "Don't expect me to live like I'm in my 20s." She also mentioned, "Even if my life in Japan doesn't work out, I don't think it will be a failure that ruins my life. It will be a good experience."
