Ryu Hyun-jin and Bae Ji-hyun Share Playful Moments in Surprise Airport Reunion

Baseball star Ryu Hyun-jin and his wife Bae Ji-hyun have shared a glimpse into their playful daily life.

On the 26th, Bae Ji-hyun's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'The Dark Side of Ryu Hyun-jin's Back... Wife Secretly Follows Husband (WBC Training Camp Pickup, Spring Camp Packing)'.

In the video, Bae Ji-hyun surprises her husband Ryu Hyun-jin at the airport as he returns from the WBC national team training in Saipan. She humorously mentioned, "I told him I was putting the kids to bed," and laughed about his fear of the delayed landing, saying, "He got scared because it landed twice. He's afraid of things like that."

Bae Ji-hyun expressed her playful intent to "sneak up on Ryu Hyun-jin from behind," adding, "We don't talk much at home. We just play pranks like this. At home, we just watch TV. We're currently into 'Taxi Driver'."

Meeting her father-in-law, Bae Ji-hyun shared her surprise plan. Ryu Hyun-jin's father humorously responded, "Do as you like. I'll pretend I don't know about your fun. I only need to say three things: 'You worked hard. Are you okay? That's all that matters.'"

Expecting Ryu Hyun-jin to exit from the right, Bae Ji-hyun and her staff were caught off guard when he suddenly changed direction to the left. As she secretly followed him, she gave him a surprise back hug and playfully said, "I'm a fan," even altering her voice.

However, Ryu Hyun-jin, without much surprise, turned around to see his wife's face and said, "I knew when I was hugged. Why would a fan hug me?" with a smile.

Ryu Hyun-jin admitted, "I was 100% fooled. I didn't expect it at all, but when I got the back hug, I thought, 'Oh, my wife is here.' Fans don't want to hug me." When the staff mentioned the plan didn't go as expected, Ryu Hyun-jin laughed and said, "Things never go as planned."

Meanwhile, Ryu Hyun-jin married former sports announcer Bae Ji-hyun in 2018, and they have a son and a daughter.
