Actor Ryu Si-won Reveals Non-Celebrity Wife, Sparks Interest in Her Career and Income

Actor Ryu Si-won (53) has unveiled his non-celebrity wife, who is 19 years his junior, after six years of marriage, drawing attention to her career and income.

On the October 19th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon's Love Conqueror,' Ryu Si-won and his wife, Lee Ah-young, made an appearance. Lee captivated viewers with her stunning looks.

The couple previously attended comedian Yoon Jung-soo's wedding as guests in November last year. During the event, Lee's face was captured on video, which quickly went viral online, surpassing 2 million views in just two days.

Ryu Si-won's wife works as a math instructor in Daechi-dong, earning the nickname 'Daechi-dong Goddess' due to her exceptional beauty.

In a past appearance on SBS's variety show 'Dolsing Fourmen,' Ryu Si-won revealed that his wife earns more than he does. He explained, "After a year of working, she felt it wasn't the right fit and left her job to become an instructor in Daechi-dong. While we were preparing for our wedding, she received an incredible offer from a major academy, but she chose marriage over work and didn't sign the contract."

Ryu Si-won was previously married in 2010 and welcomed his first daughter in 2011. However, he divorced in 2015 after a legal battle, with his ex-wife retaining custody of their daughter. Ryu Si-won remarried in 2020, and after undergoing IVF treatment, the couple welcomed their second daughter in 2024.
