Actor Jung Suk-won Opens Up About Life as Baek Ji-young's Husband

Actor Jung Suk-won recently shared his experiences of being married to singer Baek Ji-young.

On January 3rd, a video titled 'Jung Suk-won and Daughter Haim Tease Baek Ji-young on Her 50th Birthday' was uploaded to Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel.

In the video, Jung humorously referred to his wife as 'Mr. Ji Cheon-myeong' after she mentioned reaching the age of 'Ji Cheon-myeong,' a term meaning 'understanding the will of heaven.'

Jung shared a funny anecdote about their age difference, saying, "My birthday is originally January 16, but it was registered late as May 16. I was happy to tell her we were only eight years apart when we were dating, but it turns out she's also an early year baby, making it a nine-year difference."

Baek Ji-young revealed, "Our daughter Haim is learning jiu-jitsu. She's had nine lessons, and I want to join her. It looks fun and cool. I'll start after my concert." When Haim playfully clung to her mother's back, Jung showed his caring side, saying, "Don't do that to mom; she might get hurt."

Jung teased his daughter for speaking sweetly on camera, while Baek Ji-young asked Haim what she thought about YouTube. Haim shyly responded, "It's embarrassing."

Baek Ji-young asked her daughter about revealing her face on YouTube, to which Haim replied, "It seems tiring and exhausting. You said so, mom." Baek Ji-young explained, "Once your face is revealed, people will call you 'Baek Ji-young's daughter' or 'Jung Suk-won's daughter,' not by your name, Haim."

Jung, who has often been referred to as 'Baek Ji-young's husband' since their marriage, shared, "I used to be called 'Baek Ji-young's husband' or 'Jung Won-seok, Jung Suk-hyun.' Your name disappears, and you're known as 'Baek Ji-young's daughter' because mom's influence is so strong."

When asked if he felt a bit sad about losing his name, Jung replied, "I used to be conscious of it, but now it's an honor. I'm so proud to be the husband of our top star, Mr. Ji Cheon-myeong. During the recent concert, it felt like I was running for mayor."

Towards the end of the video, Baek Ji-young humorously protected her husband after he mistakenly calculated the cost of face masks, saying to the production team, "Edit well. I trust you. Let's not go astray."

Meanwhile, Baek Ji-young and Jung Suk-won married in 2013 and have a daughter named Haim.
