Reunion of 'Reply 1988' Cast Marks 10th Anniversary with Special OST Release

Former couple and actors Hyeri and Ryu Jun-yeol have reunited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their hit series 'Reply 1988'.

Recently, the YouTube channel 'Studio MaumC' released a teaser video titled '[Reply 1988 10th Anniversary OST Part 2] Ssangmun-dong Kids Hyehwa-dong (or Ssangmun-dong) M/V TEASER'. The song is a remake of 'Hyehwa-dong' by the group Zoo, originally sung by Park Bo-ram during the drama's airing.

As part of the 10th-anniversary project, the main cast members participated in the recording of the teaser. The video features actors Hyeri, Ryu Jun-yeol, Park Bo-gum, Go Kyung-pyo, Lee Dong-hwi, Ryu Hye-young, Ahn Jae-hong, and Choi Sung-won recording the song's highlight sections together in the studio.

Previously released 'Reply 1988 10th Anniversary OST Part 1' featured Park Bo-gum's rendition of 'Every Day With You'. The upcoming Part 2, 'Hyehwa-dong (or Ssangmun-dong)', will be officially released on October 26 at 6 PM on various music platforms.

Additionally, on the same day, an OST featuring actors Ra Mi-ran, Kim Sun-young, and Lee Il-hwa will be released as a double title. They will present a new version of 'Don't Worry, Dear', originally performed by Lee Juck a decade ago.

The 'Reply 1988' cast recently embarked on a two-day trip to commemorate the 10th anniversary. Their journey is being broadcast as part of the 'Reply 1988 10th Anniversary' special, planned as a tvN 20th-anniversary edition. The special, which began airing on October 19, is released every Friday at 8:40 PM and consists of three episodes. It features a large ensemble cast, including both the parent and child generations from the series.

Particular attention has been drawn to the joint appearance of Hyeri and Ryu Jun-yeol. The two began dating publicly in 2017 but announced their breakup in 2023 after eight years together.
