Korean actress Hwang Bo-ra recently opened up about her challenging parenting experiences, particularly the sleepless nights she has faced.

On the 23rd, Hwang Bo-ra shared a video titled 'Please Stop the All-Night Parenting...' on her YouTube channel 'Hwang Bo-ra Variety.'

In the video, Hwang Bo-ra candidly shared, "Since returning from Hawaii, my child has been struggling with sleep. He cries and refuses to sleep, becoming extremely clingy to me, which has disrupted our daily routine."

Appearing visibly tired, Hwang Bo-ra recounted, "My son woke up at 2 AM, and it took two hours to get him back to sleep. Something went wrong during our Hawaii trip. He was sick and couldn't sleep, and even after returning to Korea, he fell ill again. It's been exhausting for both me and my family."

Hwang Bo-ra sought help from a sleep training expert who had previously assisted her when her son was four months old. The expert pointed out the changes in sleep patterns after international travel and explained the developmental changes in children aged 18 to 24 months.

Her husband, Cha Hyun-woo, also shared a nerve-wracking experience where their son rolled off the bed after he removed the bed guard. As a result, he had to sleep in the living room. Hwang Bo-ra expressed her frustration, saying, "The guard is still off, and although he hasn't fallen again, he continues to whine."

During a nap attempt, Hwang Bo-ra left her son alone in his room. Despite his cries for "Mom," she remained composed, noting, "I'm not heartbroken anymore. That phase has passed." She analyzed that her son was overstimulated by the presence of many people.

Her son eventually fell asleep after eight minutes, although the nap lasted only 40 minutes. Despite the short nap, Hwang Bo-ra was satisfied, admitting, "Until now, my son had the upper hand. He was the king of the house." The expert advised, "A child shouldn't be the king."

Hwang Bo-ra, who considered changing her son's bed ten times due to his disrupted sleep patterns, comforted her crying son by carrying him in a sling and offering snacks. The expert recommended being an 'authoritative parent,' one who is both attached and in control. Hwang Bo-ra praised her husband, saying, "My husband is doing a great job."

Hwang Bo-ra, who recently revealed plans for a second child, showed interest in sleep training, asking, "Do you sleep separately when raising a second child?" She was amused by the expert's response that sleep training is about teaching children to sleep independently, not separately.
