Comedian Park Na-rae Faces Legal Battle with Former Managers Over Alleged Workplace Misconduct
According to a report on the 4th, Park's former managers filed for a provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court on the 3rd. They also plan to file a lawsuit claiming damages for alleged mistreatment during their employment.
The former managers accuse Park of workplace harassment, special assault, directing proxy prescriptions, and withholding operational expenses. They have reportedly submitted additional evidence to the court.
They allege that Park repeatedly assigned them personal tasks, such as running errands for snacks, cleaning up after parties, accompanying her to drinking sessions, and even handling family matters, effectively treating them like domestic helpers.
Issues regarding the settlement of work-related expenses were also raised. The former managers stated that expenses incurred while performing company duties, as well as personal purchases of groceries and alcohol, were not reimbursed in a timely manner.
They decided to resign, feeling unable to endure the situation any longer. However, they claim there were conflicts during the resignation process. The former managers requested the settlement of unpaid expenses from the company but were allegedly met with threats of defamation and forgery charges.
Currently, Park Na-rae's team has stated they are "in the process of verifying" the allegations.
