Former MBC Announcer Kim Dae-ho Reveals Impressive Earnings as a Freelancer

Kim Dae-ho, who left MBC to pursue a freelance career, has disclosed his annual income.

On October 2, the YouTube channel '흙심인대호' (Huksimin Dae-ho) released a video titled '"The Contract Fee is... Billions?!" Wealthy and Handsome(?) Kim Dae-ho's Solo Escape Project.'

In the video, Kim humorously expressed his concerns about remaining unmarried, saying, "I'm being really honest today. After today, I might not be able to get married."

Meeting with a matchmaking manager, Kim shared, "Next year marks my 10th anniversary of being single. I do want to get married, definitely before I turn 50. I also think about having kids." Kim is currently 42 years old.

Kim confessed that his last relationship was a decade ago, stating, "I've dated 4-5 times since my military discharge. I always thought about marriage, but relationships ended over trivial arguments."

When asked about his ideal type, Kim candidly said, "Someone who doesn't bother me, who truly loves their own life. It would be nice to walk hand in hand, looking in the same direction, not at each other. Someone who is like a 'zero number' friend, there for me when I'm tired and struggling."

Admitting he values appearance, Kim revealed his ideal type is actress Go Yoon-jung, which he jokingly apologized for.

Kim, whose family is known for their elaborate ancestral rites, stated, "I hope my partner isn't overly reliant on religion. It's okay if religious beliefs make it difficult to participate in rituals. Even if my wife doesn't attend while the whole family does, it's fine because I love her."

Despite hearing that male announcers aren't popular in matchmaking, the manager disagreed, noting Kim's good looks.

Regarding his income and assets, Kim confidently shared, "My income isn't bad. In just nine months after leaving MBC, I earned what I would have in four years there. I own two homes." The manager was astonished upon hearing the amount of his 'company contract fee.'

Kim, now feeling ready for marriage, expressed a preference for women in the arts or sports fields, specifically those outside the broadcasting industry, such as in art or music. He also prefers someone with different hobbies from his own.

Previously, during his time at MBC, Kim revealed his salary was just over 100 million won as a department head. Since leaving, his appearance fees have reportedly increased by more than 150 times.
