Actress Kim Hye-soo Pays Tribute to Late Actor Lee Soon-jae
On the 25th, Kim Hye-soo shared a captured image of Lee Soon-jae receiving an acting award on her social media. She wrote, "I have been indebted to him and received a lot of help throughout my life. I am grateful," echoing Lee Soon-jae's own words from his award acceptance speech. Kim Hye-soo used the late actor's words to express her condolences.
According to his family, Lee Soon-jae passed away early on the 25th at the age of 91. Concerns about his health had been circulating since last year, causing worry both within and outside the entertainment industry.
Lee Soon-jae was the oldest active actor, consistently engaging in acting across various platforms including television, film, and theater. He remained active until recently, appearing in the play "Waiting for Godot" and the KBS 2TV drama "Dog Sound." With "Dog Sound," he became the oldest recipient of the Grand Prize at the KBS Drama Awards last year.
