Sam Hammington Opens Up About Parenting Challenges and Past Plans for a Third Child

Sam Hammington, the popular television personality, recently revealed that he once had plans for a third child.

On the 18th, the YouTube show 'Shin Woman' featured a video titled 'Actually, I often linger around the house after work. The Husband of a Foreign Woman (w. Sam Hammington)'.

During the show, Sam Hammington shared that his sons, William and Bentley, are now 9 and 8 years old. He humorously confessed, "I am doing childcare because I lack work. I've been asking my manager to arrange an overseas trip for me. I want to travel abroad alone."

As a dedicated father, Hammington explained, "My parents divorced early, so I didn't have a father figure in my life." He strives to be a present father for his sons, expressing regret that his mother couldn't discipline him much after the divorce. "I let things slide out of guilt, but my life might have been different if I had been disciplined," he reflected.

Having lived in Korea for 23 years, Hammington reminisced, "I first met my wife in 1999 during a language exchange program. We had a long-distance relationship between Korea and Australia, exchanging letters and using international phone cards. At one point, we felt distant and considered not getting married."

Now married for 13 years, Hammington shared, "My wife, who is two years older, has started menopause, and I have an enlarged prostate. We're just living life." Despite this, he expressed affection, saying, "I may not feel the excitement, but I find my wife beautiful and want to be affectionate. However, I feel sorry approaching her."

When asked about plans for a third child, Hammington revealed, "We had our two children through IVF. After Bentley was born, we tried more than 10 times for a daughter, but stopped because it was too hard on my wife."

Discussing parenting, Hammington joked, "It feels like raising two UFC fighters. They really don't listen. I've aged a lot because of them." He humorously mentioned that the nagging he dislikes most from his wife is, "Why don't you have work these days?" and "I wish you'd earn some money." He added, "I used to work so much I couldn't come home. Actually, my wife doesn't work at all," eliciting laughter.

Sam Hammington married his Korean wife in 2013 after a decade-long relationship, and they have two sons together.
