Actress Hong Soo-ah Opens Up About Her YouTube Journey and Financial Independence
Recently, Hong Soo-ah launched her YouTube channel 'Sooah_Days' and began her activities.
When asked by the production team if she started YouTube because she was financially struggling or due to a lack of broadcasting activities, Hong confidently stated, "To be honest, I'm not financially struggling. I'm not someone who is in need of money."
Known as the 'Princess of the Continent,' Hong Soo-ah previously disclosed that she earned three to four times more in China compared to her income in Korea. Having dominated the advertising scene in China and being cast as the lead in a 20 billion won Chinese blockbuster, she proudly mentioned, "I have a lot of cash."
She candidly shared, "It would be a lie to say I'm doing YouTube just for fun. I wanted to share good information, receive good advertisements, earn money, and communicate with others, which is why I started."
When asked if she would reveal everything, Hong Soo-ah charmingly responded, "I think I need to hold back to some extent. I can't show everything, only what I want to share."
Hong Soo-ah uses a line of cosmetics from the well-known R brand, famous for door-to-door sales, and clarified, "This is not an advertisement. I received it as a gift from a close acquaintance, tried it, and liked it, so I purchased it myself."
She added, "It's a high-end cosmetic. It might be burdensome to recommend it due to its price. I'm not forcing anyone to 'buy and try this,' emphasizing that her intention is purely to share information."
