Actor Jung Suk-won to Perform 'My Ear's Candy' with Wife Baek Ji-young, Shares Pre-Show Jitters
On the 8th, Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel released a video titled 'Jung Suk-won Replaces Ok Taec-yeon for 'My Ear's Candy' Performance with Baek Ji-young After 16 Years (Concert Ticket Event Included)'.
In the video, Baek Ji-young revealed, "For the upcoming Seoul concert, my husband Jung Suk-won will be performing 'My Ear's Candy'. I've been asking him for years, and he finally agreed."
Jung Suk-won, who will be performing in front of 5,000 people, expressed his concerns, saying, "What if the fans don't like it?" Baek Ji-young reassured him, "Practicing the dance together was amazing. Making eye contact with you made my heart flutter. No one can replace Jung Suk-won."
Ahead of recording 'My Ear's Candy', Jung Suk-won confessed his anxiety, "When I first met my wife, we went to karaoke. I sang a song with all my focus, and when I turned around, she was silently laughing. Since then, I haven't sung at all."
Baek Ji-young explained, "I laughed because it was cute," but Jung Suk-won insisted, "It wasn't that kind of laugh," adding, "What if I mess up the performance? I don't want my friends to see it, so I didn't invite them."
Before dance practice, Jung Suk-won compared his nerves to "re-enlisting in the military" and "facing a kiss scene with a male actor." During the recording, with six cameras around, he showed separation anxiety, asking, "Can't you stay by my side?"
After two hours of recording, Jung Suk-won appeared deflated. Baek Ji-young tried to lift his spirits, saying, "We promised to duet like Jay-Z and Alicia Keys someday. My husband is really good at rapping." However, Jung Suk-won humorously told her to stop talking too much, drawing laughter.
