Actor Yeo Jin-goo to Enlist in KATUSA on December 15

Actor Yeo Jin-goo is set to enlist in KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the United States Army) on December 15.

On November 3, Yeo Jin-goo's agency officially announced, "Yeo Jin-goo has been selected for KATUSA and will serve for approximately 18 months starting Monday, December 15."

The agency further stated, "As the training center entrance ceremony is a gathering of many soldiers and their families, we will not disclose the specific location and time of the entrance. We kindly ask for your understanding and request that you refrain from visiting the site on that day."

They added, "We are always grateful for the interest shown towards actor Yeo Jin-goo. We ask for your unwavering support and encouragement until the day he returns, having completed his military duty in good health and with a more mature presence."

Previously, on October 14, Yeo Jin-goo shared the news of his enlistment through a handwritten letter during his 20th-anniversary Asia fan meeting tour 'BLANKSPACE.' He expressed, "Every moment of meeting your faces, making eye contact, and sharing smiles during the Asia tour before enlistment will remain a precious memory for me. I promise to return with an even more impressive presence."

Yeo Jin-goo debuted in 2005 with the film 'Sad Movie' and has since built a solid acting career through various works, including the dramas 'Moon Embracing the Sun,' 'The Crowned Clown,' 'Hotel Del Luna,' and the film 'Hwayi: A Monster Boy.' Recently, he showcased his variety show skills by appearing in the TVING show 'Great Escape: The Story.'
