Davichi Announces Retirement from Singing at Weddings

The popular South Korean duo Davichi has announced their retirement from singing at weddings.

On October 28, Kang Min-kyung's YouTube channel 'Kyang Ming Kyung' featured a video titled "A Woman Who's Eaten One Meal a Day for 10 Years... (Almost)."

In the video, Kang Min-kyung shared, "I've been keeping a tight schedule lately with many appearances, so I've switched to 'deposit mode' and have been living more strictly than usual, eating almost just one meal a day." She explained, "It's not an extreme one-meal-a-day diet. I stave off hunger with bananas, sweet potatoes, or lattes until dinner, then eat what I want." She also showed herself cooking and enjoying oyster pasta.

Kang Min-kyung candidly discussed the pros and cons of her one-meal-a-day routine. She said, "The advantage is that I can enjoy my food more," but added, "The downside is that I get so hungry I eat ravenously, and I feel dazed while eating."

On the same day, Kang Min-kyung attended a wedding of an agency staff member and shared her special feelings. She said, "I have a team member who is like a child to me. We've worked together since I moved to Seoul, so I've always seen them as young." She added, "Today is a wedding day that I can't watch without tears."

Kang Min-kyung asked her duo partner Lee Hae-ri to accompany her. She said, "I've often used the 'Lee Hae-ri chance,' but I promised this would be the last time." Lee Hae-ri firmly stated, "Since today is the last time, there will be no more wedding songs, no matter who gets married." Kang Min-kyung humorously declared, "I'll send them off today and retire from singing at weddings," drawing laughter.

Kang Min-kyung shared her daily life with fans by enjoying a meal she prepared after having a pre-dinner drink, and Davichi's delightful chemistry captivated viewers.
