Former After School Member Bekah Opens Up About Body Image Struggles in K-Pop
Bekah, a former member of the K-pop group After School, has candidly shared her thoughts on body image in the Korean music industry.

On October 23, Bekah took to Instagram to reveal, "To be honest, I struggled with my weight during my K-pop days. The dieting methods were different, and I was chasing a specific look or number," she wrote, adding, "Everything was unsustainable." She accompanied her post with a video.

In the video, Bekah is seen enjoying herself at a beach, wearing a bikini and a bucket hat. She expressed, "Back then, I didn't understand how to lose weight properly, but now I'm building muscle, eating well, and getting enough sleep." She emphasized, "It took time to find the right diet method, but the biggest lesson I've learned is to always respect your body."

Earlier, on October 13, Bekah hinted at her engagement by posting a photo on Instagram with the caption "YES!" The image showed her holding hands with someone, wearing a large, sparkling ring on her left ring finger, which garnered congratulations from many fans.

Born in 1989, Bekah is now 36 years old. She debuted as a member of After School in 2009 and became the first member to graduate from the group in 2011. After leaving the group, she returned to Hawaii to study design.
