Singer and artist Kwon Ji-an, also known as Solbi, is hosting her first solo exhibition in Portugal.

From October 18 to November 30, Kwon Ji-an will present her solo exhibition 'Humming Letters' at the Tilsitt Gallery in Porto, Portugal. This marks her first solo exhibition in Portugal, made possible by an official invitation from the Tilsitt Gallery last year.

Previously, a promotional exhibition held in August at the Porto Intercontinental Hotel received an enthusiastic response from local audiences and collectors, prompting the official exhibition schedule to be moved up.

The exhibition features approximately 10 pieces from Kwon Ji-an's renowned 'Humming Letters' series. This series captures emotions that cannot be fully expressed through language, using 'humming' and combining it with imagined landscapes. Through this, Kwon visually explores the theme of 'the rhythm of language.'

Flavien Guiet, the director of Tilsitt Gallery, commented, "Kwon Ji-an's work possesses a unique language that freely traverses between the figurative and the abstract. The messages embedded within the thick textures resonate powerfully with collectors in Portugal and around the world."

Kwon Ji-an has been recognized for her experimental approach in combining music and painting. She won the Grand Artist Award at the Barcelona International Art Awards in 2021 and was named 'Artist of the Month' by Italy's ITS LIQUID GROUP, expanding her presence in the international art scene. She continues to showcase her work in France, Italy, Spain, and beyond, solidifying her status as a global artist.

This exhibition is more than just a solo show; it marks a significant starting point for Kwon Ji-an as she expands her artistic journey across Europe, with plans to continue exhibiting in Portugal.
