Cha Tae-hyun Considers Starring in New Webtoon-Based Drama 'Personal Taxi'

According to industry sources on the 7th, the drama is adapted from a novel by writer Lee Mose. It tells the story of a unique taxi service that only takes reservations, weaving together the tales of ordinary people with their own stories, all set to music. The show is described as a human music drama.
The production aims to air in the first half of next year. The project is helmed by director Jeon Chang-geun, known for his work on 'Mystic Pop-up Bar', 'What Happens to My Family?', and 'The Queen of Office'. The script is penned by writers Kim Jun-mo and Min Dong-hyun. Actress Lee Yeon-hee is also considering joining the cast.

In 2023, Cha Tae-hyun appeared in the drama 'Moving' and the film 'My Puppy'. He had no releases last year, and this year, aside from a special appearance in the drama 'Dear M', he has not been involved in any major projects. Instead, he has been active in various variety shows such as 'Whenever Possible', 'Handsome Guys', and 'Sister's Direct Delivery'.
A broadcasting industry insider commented, "While fans appreciate his candid and relatable persona on variety shows, many are eagerly awaiting Cha Tae-hyun's return to acting roles."
