K-Pop Star Jeon Somi to Make Hollywood Debut in Thriller 'Perfect Girl'
K-pop sensation Jeon Somi is set to make her Hollywood debut.

On October 3rd, Deadline reported that Jeon Somi has been cast in the horror thriller film 'Perfect Girl'. The film will also feature Arden Cho, known for her voice role as Rumi in Netflix's animated series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', and Adeline Rudolph, the lead in 'Mortal Kombat 2'.

'Perfect Girl' centers around a soon-to-debut K-pop girl group. The plot unfolds as a mysterious girl appears before the trainees who are competing for the final four spots, just a week before their debut evaluation. The film has been described by local media as a blend of 'Scream' and 'Black Swan'.

The movie will include six original soundtracks, though it remains unconfirmed whether Jeon Somi will contribute to the OST. Arden Cho will not only act in the film but also take part in its production.

The film is directed by Hong Won-ki, founder of Zanybros, known for directing 'Seoul Ghost Stories', 'The Ghost', and 'Zombie Hunter'. The screenplay is penned by writer and journalist Lynn Q. Yu. Filming is set to commence on October 27th in Asia.

Jeon Somi first gained recognition through her appearances on Mnet's 'Sixteen' and 'Produce 101' Season 1. She debuted with the project group I.O.I and transitioned to a solo career after the group's disbandment, releasing hits like 'Birthday', 'DUMB DUMB', 'XOXO', and 'Fast Forward'. With her role in 'Perfect Girl', Jeon Somi is poised to expand her career from music to acting.
