Wonder Girls' Yubin Appeals for Help for Cousin's Wife Battling Cancer
Wonder Girls member Yubin has reached out for help on behalf of her cousin's wife.

On November 1st, Yubin took to her Instagram to share a heartfelt message: "My eldest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and has been fighting bravely ever since. Unfortunately, in 2024, the cancer spread to her brain, and she is now enduring a painful battle every day."

Yubin explained, "We have found an effective treatment, but due to financial constraints, it is incredibly difficult to receive proper care." She appealed to her followers, saying, "I am asking for your help to protect my sister, even just a little." Yubin's dedication to her cousin's wife, despite having only a younger brother as immediate family, has drawn attention.

Yubin urged her followers to support a national petition. The petition calls for the inclusion of the breast cancer brain metastasis treatment, Tukysa (Tucatinib), in the national health insurance coverage and for expedited processing. Tukysa reportedly costs around 200 million won annually.

The petitioner stated, "We earnestly request the inclusion of 'Tukysa' in the health insurance coverage to prevent the tragedy of patients and their families being forced to give up life-saving medication due to financial reasons."

Meanwhile, Yubin joined Wonder Girls in 2007 and was active as the main rapper and drummer until 2017. She is currently participating as a player for FC Top Girl on the SBS variety show 'Kick a Goal'.

Hello, this is Yubin.🙇🏻‍♀️

I am writing this post because something unfortunate has happened to a family member who is very dear and loved by me.

My eldest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and has been fighting hard ever since.
Sadly, in 2024, it spread to her brain, and she is now enduring a painful battle every day.

Fortunately, we have found an effective treatment, but due to financial constraints, it is incredibly difficult to receive proper care.
With a desperate heart to protect my sister even a little, I am asking for your help.

This issue is not only a problem for our family but also a crucial matter for breast cancer patients to receive better treatment in the future.
Please lend a helping hand, even a small one, so that many patients can continue to have hope.

You can easily agree with just a phone verification.
I sincerely ask you to join the petition through the link below.
