K-Pop Star Eunho Faces Scary Incident with Overzealous Fan in Brazil

YOUNITE was invited to perform at the '18th Korean Culture Day' event held in São Paulo on the 17th. After the performance, Eunho was reportedly subjected to unexpected physical contact by a female fan, who attempted to forcibly kiss him.
The incident was captured and spread across social media. In the video, Eunho appears startled as his neck is grabbed, but security quickly intervenes. The group and their team hurriedly left the chaotic scene.
The video sparked outrage, with many labeling the act as "clear sexual harassment." As the controversy grew, the event organizers issued an apology, expressing deep regret over the lack of safety measures that led to the incident.
YOUNITE's agency, Brand Music, also addressed the situation on their official social media on the 23rd, stating, "After a recent overseas performance, an incident occurred where an artist's safety was threatened due to a fan's excessive approach." They warned that such situations pose significant risks not only to the artists but also to fans present at the scene.
The agency urged, "For the safety of artists and fans, please maintain a safe distance at event venues. We ask for restraint from excessive criticism towards individuals and request cooperation in establishing a healthy fan culture." They further assured, "We will prioritize the safety of our artists to prevent similar incidents in the future."
