Former ALICE Member Sohee Takes Legal Action Against False Rumors

On the 30th, Sohee took to her Instagram to address the issue, stating, "From my trainee days to my debut in 2017 and until my retirement, I have never once acted dishonorably in my 10-year career in the entertainment industry. I have always looked forward, worked diligently in my position, and taken pride and responsibility in my work."
Sohee shared her current status, saying, "I met my husband naturally at a colleague's birthday party, and it led to marriage. Now, I am experiencing the most stable and happy time of my life."
However, Sohee revealed, "I received reports that an account known for spreading rumors about celebrities and influencers with large followings had posted false information about me. Initially, I didn't take it seriously and only issued a warning, but the perpetrator began to cross the line."
She continued, "The perpetrator fabricated stories, such as claiming I met my husband while working at a bar, and even created fake conversation screenshots, mentioning my family and making threats."
Sohee expressed her distress, saying, "It was truly difficult to see my sincerity and honor, which I have protected for a long time, being distorted and questioned. Thankfully, those who were also victimized by the perpetrator bravely reported it to me, and the case was quickly forwarded to the authorities."
Additionally, Sohee expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and show interest in my life after retirement. I will try to update you on my news from time to time."
Born in 1999, Sohee, now 27, gained recognition through the SBS audition program 'K-Pop Star Season 6 - The Last Chance' in 2017. She debuted in the music industry as a member of the group ALICE the same year and played the role of Lee Soon-yi in the TVING series 'After School War Activities' last year.
However, in April last year, she surprised many by announcing her marriage to a businessman 15 years her senior and her retirement from the entertainment industry.

Recently, I have been dealing with uncomfortable situations due to absurd false rumors, and I have proceeded with legal action. The case is currently with the authorities.
From my trainee days to my debut in 2017 and until my retirement, I have never once acted dishonorably in my 10-year career in the entertainment industry. I have always looked forward, worked diligently in my position, and taken pride and responsibility in my work.
I met my husband naturally at a colleague's birthday party, and it led to marriage. Now, I am experiencing the most stable and happy time of my life. 😊
However, I received reports that an account known for spreading rumors about celebrities and influencers with large followings had posted false information about me. Initially, I didn't take it seriously and only issued a warning.
But the perpetrator began to cross the line. They fabricated stories, such as claiming I met my husband while working at a bar, and even created fake conversation screenshots, mentioning my family and making threats.
I have worked harder than anyone in the entertainment industry and have always done my best in my position, so it was truly difficult to see my sincerity and honor, which I have protected for a long time, being distorted and questioned.
Thankfully, those who were also victimized by the perpetrator bravely reported it to me, and the case was quickly forwarded to the authorities.
I believe that shaking someone's life with false information is not something that can be taken lightly. Initially, I didn't take it seriously because it wasn't true, but I realized that such silence can make rumors seem true in this world.
Therefore, I am directly conveying my position.
This matter will be pursued without leniency to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and show interest in my life after retirement. I will try to update you on my news from time to time! 😊
