Shinhwa's Lee Min-woo Announces Marriage: A New Chapter Begins
Lee Min-woo, a member of the legendary K-pop group Shinhwa, born in 1979, has announced his marriage.

On July 25, Lee Min-woo took to Instagram to share the news directly with his fans, known as Shinhwa Changjo. He wrote, "Today, I picked up the pen to share a piece of news I wanted Shinhwa Changjo to hear first."

He continued, "After going through various situations recently, I spent a lot of time with my family, which made me reflect on the meaning of family. I always had a vague desire to create a family of my own, one that supports each other. During this time, I reconnected with a precious person I've known for a long time, and we decided to become a family."

Lee Min-woo expressed his concerns about how to deliver the news, saying, "I struggled with how to share this news and it wasn't easy to pick up the pen. But I wanted to tell Shinhwa Changjo first, as I didn't want them to hear it from somewhere else and feel upset. I hope you can bless this story, which I share with all my heart, with warmth."

Reflecting on his career, Lee Min-woo said, "From debuting with Shinhwa in my teens, through my 20s and 30s, I've been fortunate to receive endless love and support from Shinhwa Changjo. Thanks to their unwavering support, I found the courage to keep moving forward, even during tough times. Every moment on stage as Lee Min-woo has been nothing but happiness."

He concluded with a promise, "Though my life is about to change, I promise to continue my activities on stage and elsewhere, fueled by the love of Shinhwa Changjo and my family. I will always meet you as Lee Min-woo."

Lee Min-woo debuted with Shinhwa in 1998 and has been actively performing ever since. Recently, he has been pursuing a solo career and appeared in the play 'Les Misérables' last year. He also held his first solo exhibition and is currently appearing on KBS2's variety show 'Mr. House Husband Season 2.' Last year, he revealed on a variety show that he was a victim of gaslighting and fraud by a 20-year acquaintance, resulting in a loss of 2.6 billion won.
