Former AOA Member Lim Do-hwa Marries Theater Actor Song Ui-hwan in Private Ceremony

Former AOA member Lim Do-hwa, born in 1996, has tied the knot with theater actor Song Ui-hwan, born in 1991. The couple held a private wedding ceremony in Seoul on the 28th.

Last month, Lim Do-hwa shared the happy news on her social media, stating, "I have met someone I want to walk with for the rest of my days, and we will be getting married this June. He is a truly kind and grateful person who has warmly supported me and stayed by my side through every moment."

Lim Do-hwa becomes the second AOA member to get married, following Yuna, who married composer Kang Jung-hoon from the production team Star Wars in February last year. Many AOA members attended the wedding to celebrate the occasion. Seolhyun shared a video of Lim Do-hwa walking down the aisle in her wedding dress on her social media, while Hyejeong posted a video of Lim holding a bouquet, captioning it, "Oh, so pretty. Congratulations on your wedding, Titi." Former leader Jimin, who left the group, also shared a video of the ceremony with the message, "Our youngest, Do-hwa."

AOA, known for hits like 'Heart Attack,' 'Like a Cat,' 'Miniskirt,' and 'Short Hair,' faced a crisis in 2019 following revelations by former member Kwon Mina. She accused Jimin of bullying her for over a decade, claiming other members were bystanders, which led to a significant controversy. Jimin subsequently left the group and the entertainment industry, but the controversy persisted as Kwon Mina continued to make allegations of group bullying.

Kwon Mina further exposed Jimin's private life and was later revealed to have sent abusive messages to her. Amidst allegations of infidelity and mistreatment of a nurse, public opinion shifted, leading Jimin to announce her return to the entertainment industry. AOA has since been on the path to disbandment. In October last year, Hyejeong revealed on 'No Back Tak Jae-hoon' that the members still keep in touch and update each other through social media.

In February, Lim Do-hwa transitioned to acting and changed her name. Born in 1996, she debuted as the youngest member of AOA in 2012, taking on roles as a sub-vocalist, lead rapper, and main dancer. She attempted to relaunch her singing career by appearing on Mnet's 'Queendom Puzzle' in 2023 but is now focusing on her acting career.

Beyond her activities with AOA, Lim Do-hwa has also been recognized for her mother's positive influence. Her mother, Lim Cheon-sook, is well-known for her youth volunteer work and appeared with her daughter on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' in June 2022. During the show, Lim Do-hwa expressed deep admiration for her mother, saying, "Living like my mom would leave no regrets."
