Actor Jin Tae-hyun has successfully completed surgery for thyroid cancer.

On the 24th, Jin Tae-hyun shared on his Instagram, "I am at peace now. My wife held my hands tightly and prayed for me early in the morning," adding, "I finished the surgery around 11 AM."

He continued, "After the surgery, the professor came to the recovery room and told me not to worry anymore, holding my hand," and expressed, "Thanks to everyone's concern, the cancer cells in my body are now gone."

Notably, he mentioned, "There were many words of encouragement before the surgery, but I am especially grateful to our 'Lee Sook Camp' team and actor Kim Woo-bin, whom I had never interacted with before."

Jin Tae-hyun expressed his gratitude, saying, "Even though Woo-bin and I had never interacted, he personally encouraged me to overcome the illness. I am embarrassed because it's a cancer that ends well with surgery, but I will cherish the shared concern and strive to be a good senior in the entertainment industry."

He concluded, "It does hurt, but the surgery went well. Now, I will focus on recovery and soon run on the track again. After all, I am a marathoner."

Previously, Jin Tae-hyun revealed on social media last month that he had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and was preparing for surgery. He reassured his followers, "It was detected early and is small in size, but surgery is necessary before it spreads elsewhere. I will manage my commitments and rest well without overexerting myself, so please don't worry too much."

Jin Tae-hyun married actress Park Si-eun in July 2015. The couple adopted a college student, Park Davida, in 2019. They successfully conceived in 2021 after wishing for a second child, but tragically lost the baby 20 days before the due date. In January, they adopted two more daughters.
