BTS's Jimin Opens Up About Weight Gain and Dieting Journey

On the morning of the 11th, Jimin and Jungkook shared a relaxed conversation while enjoying pizza and spaghetti during a live session on the fan platform 'Weverse'.
Jimin started the broadcast by saying, "We have returned well." From the beginning, he candidly admitted, "As you can see, I tried hard to manage my weight, but there were parts that didn't go well. It won't take long. I'll be back soon," showing a relatable side.
Before eating pizza, he humorously noted, "I'm looking quite puffy today," and added, "Please excuse me just for today. Before coming on, I wanted to reduce the swelling, so I went running at 5 AM, but that wasn't the main issue." Jungkook chimed in, "The problem wasn't the swelling. It seems like weight doesn't come off as easily as we age."
Jimin continued, "It might be hard to believe, but I've been dieting for quite a while. I gained 10kg while away. I've already lost quite a bit. I keep making excuses, pathetically," he joked.
He attributed his weight gain to his desire for bulking up. Jimin confessed, "Being around other guys, seeing their large builds made me want to work out and build my body." He admitted, "As an entertainer, I should manage myself, but I got carried away with a burning desire and lost sight of things for a moment, indulging in delicious food."

The previous day, fellow BTS members RM and V also completed their military service and greeted fans. Last year, Jin and J-Hope were discharged first. Suga, who is serving as a social service agent, is set to be discharged on the 21st, marking the completion of military service for all BTS members this month.
