So Ji-sub Opens Up About His Challenging Family Background on YouTube Show

On October 9, So Ji-sub appeared alongside Ok Taec-yeon on the show. During the episode, So Ji-sub's family history was revealed. Known for being part of a drinking group with Shin Dong-yup, Lee Byung-hun, and Song Seung-heon, So Ji-sub recounted a time when Shin Dong-yup advised Song Seung-heon not to hang out with him.
Shin Dong-yup, who had previously apologized, explained, "Before 'Three Guys and Three Girls,' Seung-heon would sometimes visit with Ji-sub. At first, I wondered where this flashy guy came from, as he used to wear a denim jacket with lots of accessories."

However, Song Seung-heon defended So Ji-sub, saying, "Ji-sub isn't like that." Shin Dong-yup later realized his mistake, learning that So Ji-sub was raised by a single mother and grandmother in a challenging environment, while Song Seung-heon came from a well-off family.
So Ji-sub expressed gratitude, saying, "I lived in Incheon back then and stayed at Seung-heon's place to save on travel costs. He's a precious person to me."

Additionally, So Ji-sub discussed his role as Kang In-wook in 'What Happened in Bali,' saying, "It was tough because the character was so similar to me. Until then, I acted to earn money, but this was the first project where I didn't need to act. The character's life, living with a single mother, was too similar to mine, which made it challenging."
Finally, So Ji-sub showcased his variety show skills by transforming into Cha Moo-hyuk from 'I'm Sorry, I Love You.' Approaching his 30th anniversary in the industry, he shared, "I wonder if I have a new face or new acting style. If I'm thinking that, viewers might be too. It's not easy to find a new face."
