Actress Joo Hyun-young Involved in Car Accident, Takes Break for Recovery

Actress Joo Hyun-young was involved in a car accident.

On the 5th, her agency AIMC stated, "Yesterday (the 4th), Joo Hyun-young was involved in a car accident while traveling for the filming of Genie TV's 'Good Girl, Boo Se-mi.' She received medical treatment, and fortunately, her injuries are not severe." They added, "Following the medical advice for rest and treatment, she will focus on recovery for the time being."

Currently, Joo Hyun-young is the DJ for SBS PowerFM's 'At Noon with Joo Hyun-young.' The show will temporarily operate with a special DJ. On the 5th, the show's official social media announced, "Due to the DJ's health reasons, special DJ Kim Ah-young will host the show today and over the weekend on the 7th and 8th. The broadcast on Friday the 6th will be pre-recorded. We ask for the understanding of our listeners."

Meanwhile, Joo Hyun-young gained recognition through 'SNL Korea' and won the Best New Female Entertainer Award at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards and the Best Female Entertainer Award at the 2nd edition. She continues her active career with upcoming appearances in the drama 'Good Girl, Boo Se-mi,' and films 'Ghost Train,' 'Regular Restaurant,' and 'The Devil Moved In.'
