Ailee to Take Legal Action Against Defamatory Rumors About Her and Husband
K-pop singer Ailee has announced plans to take legal action against malicious rumors surrounding her and her husband, Choi Si-hoon.

On November 7, A2Z Entertainment, Ailee's agency, released a statement on their official social media channels, stating, "We can no longer overlook the severity of the situation caused by malicious posts about Ailee and are planning legal action." The agency further emphasized that there will be "no settlements or leniency" for those who spread defamatory comments, false information, or insults online, and requested fans to report any such instances.

Ailee tied the knot with Choi Si-hoon, a businessman known from the Netflix show 'Single's Inferno,' on October 20 in Seoul. Following their marriage, rumors about Choi's past profession began circulating on online communities.

The controversy gained traction on November 1 when Lee Won, a participant from the Wavve show 'Your Romance,' addressed allegations related to her past as a broadcast jockey (BJ) and mentioned Choi Si-hoon's name. Lee clarified, "Choi Si-hoon is not an agency representative and has no direct connection," yet rumors persisted, including claims that Choi was formerly associated with a host bar.

Previously, on October 27, Choi Si-hoon addressed the rumors via YouTube, stating, "I was watching 'Single's Inferno' with my family when I saw posts online claiming I had such a background. Initially, I ignored them, but the reactions became so severe that I felt wronged."
