Red Velvet's Wendy Tops Poll as Most Desired Shopping Companion in Hongdae
From October 21 to 27, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which female singer would you like to enjoy shopping with in Hongdae?'
Wendy claimed the top spot. After parting ways with SM Entertainment, where she spent a decade, Wendy signed an exclusive contract with Ascend (ASND). On October 25, Ascend announced, "We are thrilled to have Red Velvet's Wendy join us under an exclusive contract. She has proven her exceptional talents in various fields." They added, "We will actively support Wendy's activities with Red Velvet and do our utmost to ensure she shines even brighter with Ascend."
In second place was Girls' Generation's Yuri. Regarding her upcoming film 'Intrusion,' Yuri stated, "There were no preconceived notions that I couldn't do this or that it wouldn't suit me, which made this attempt possible." She continued, "As I spent time alone and accepted myself, I became free without realizing it. People also started to acknowledge me without defining me."
Girls' Generation's Seohyun took third place. Recently, Seohyun ended her exclusive contract with Namoo Actors and entered the FA market. Namoo Actors stated, "After careful discussion, we have agreed to end our management duties with actress Seohyun. We sincerely thank her for the wonderful growth based on mutual trust." They added, "We deeply appreciate the love and support from Seohyun's fans and will continue to cheer for her future endeavors."
