Girls' Generation's Taeyeon Cancels Japan Solo Concert Due to Equipment Delay
Girls' Generation's Taeyeon has canceled her solo concert in Japan due to an unexpected delay in equipment arrival. This incident is likely to add to Taeyeon's growing dissatisfaction with her agency, SM Entertainment.

On the 17th, SM Entertainment announced on its official Japanese website that Taeyeon's solo debut 10th-anniversary concert, 'The TENSE,' scheduled for October 19-20 at Tokyo's Ariake Arena, has been canceled.

The agency explained, "The concert was planned for the 19th and 20th at Tokyo Ariake Arena, but the equipment used for the Asia tour is still being transported to Japan. As of now, it has not arrived, making it difficult to prepare adequately for the performance."

They further stated, "Despite repeated consultations with relevant parties and exploring all possible options, we have determined that it is not feasible to hold the concert in a complete state, leading to the decision to cancel the performance."

The agency added, "We are considering the possibility of a replacement performance. We will provide further updates and detailed announcements as soon as decisions are made."

Taeyeon, who has previously expressed dissatisfaction with her agency, notably skipped SM Entertainment's 30th-anniversary concert 'SMTOWN' last year, bringing tensions with the agency to light.

On January 6, Taeyeon shared on a fan communication platform, "I wanted to perform on stage with enthusiasm, and I was eager to prepare two or three songs. I informed the company and waited, but to sum it up, they didn't prepare, so I couldn't perform at all."

She emphasized, "It's not that I lack motivation or don't want to perform. I am genuinely passionate about the stage and want to give my best, but they are not supporting me well, which makes me seriously reconsider. What is going on?"
