Family of Late Singer Wheesung Expresses Gratitude After Funeral
The family of the late singer Wheesung (real name Choi Wheesung) has expressed their gratitude to those who attended his funeral and sent condolences.

On the 19th, Wheesung's brother, Choi, shared a heartfelt message, saying, "We deeply appreciate the industry colleagues and friends who took the time to visit or sent floral tributes from afar."

He continued, "Seeing the room filled with flowers and the constant stream of visitors made us realize that my brother shone brightly because of the support from those around him. We are truly grateful."

Choi urged people to remember his brother fondly, stating, "While you may have many good memories of working with my brother, if there are any unpleasant ones, please let them fade away. Remember Choi Wheesung, the remarkable artist, for a long time."

He added, "My brother is now at peace. He struggled with severe insomnia after becoming a singer, but thankfully, his last moments were peaceful and restful."

Choi concluded by saying, "Please don't be sad anymore and let my brother rest in your hearts. It would be a great comfort to our family if you continue to listen to his precious music whenever you have the chance."

He also expressed his gratitude to those who bid farewell to his brother on his final journey, wishing them peace and happiness in their future endeavors.

Wheesung was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the 10th and passed away at the age of 43. Police investigations found no signs of foul play, and the National Forensic Service's autopsy results listed the cause of death as 'unknown.' Detailed examination results are expected in about two weeks.

The funeral was held on the 16th at the Seoul Samsung Hospital in Gangnam-gu, and his remains were laid to rest at the Gwangneung Memorial Park in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.
