Jung Dong-won Returns with Second Album 'Gift from the Tall Man'

The new album is set to release today, November 13th, at 6 PM on various music streaming platforms. This marks his first full album in nearly three years since 'Longing, The Giving Tree' in November 2021. While his previous album was a tribute to his grandfather, who inspired his musical journey, this new release carries a special message for his fans.
Inspired by the novel 'Daddy-Long-Legs', the album embodies the spirit of a supportive and hopeful presence, much like the 'tall man' who silently cheers from the sidelines. It symbolizes the mutual encouragement and warmth shared between Jung Dong-won and his fans.
The album features 14 tracks, including double title tracks 'Heung!' and 'Flower Lantern', along with instrumental versions. It showcases a wide range of genres from trot and ballads to upbeat dance tracks, highlighting Jung Dong-won's expanding musical spectrum.
Notably, the album boasts contributions from top producers like Seol Woon-do, Yoon Myung-sun, Algoboni Honsusangtae, and X-Child, enhancing its quality. Each track offers a unique emotional experience, reflecting Jung Dong-won's heartfelt expressions through diverse musical styles.
The title track 'Heung!' is a lively song blending trot with hip-hop and EDM dance elements. It expresses the desire to uplift a loved one through joyful dance and music. Featuring rapper HAON, this track marks a unique collaboration between a trot singer and a rapper.
The music video, released simultaneously with the album, showcases dynamic dance performances and a storyline that complements the song. Jung Dong-won himself stars in the video, displaying his charming acting skills.
In contrast, the other title track 'Flower Lantern' highlights Jung Dong-won's delicate vocals and lyrical sensitivity. It beautifully conveys the pure and unwavering feelings of waiting for a first love.
The album's opening track 'Gift' sets the tone with warm lyrics and a sweet melody, akin to a letter to a 'tall man'. It emphasizes the comfort of having a silent supporter during tough times, expressing gratitude and love towards fans.
Other tracks include 'Hwayangyeonhwa', a song about lingering memories of love, 'Show up', a vibrant retro track blending jazz swing and trot, 'Age to Confess Love', a song about a young man's awakening to love, 'Again 1,2,3,4', a rock track capturing youthful passion, 'Four-leaf Clover', a song about cherishing first love memories, 'No Matter the Wind, No Matter the Season', a comforting song for tough times, and 'Someday We', a song about loved ones who left unexpectedly.
