Tensions Rise as Taiwanese Actress Xu Xiyuan's Ex-Husband Sparks Controversy Over Inheritance

According to Taiwanese media outlet VOCO, Wang Xiaofei is expected to travel from Beijing to Taiwan to meet Huang Chunmei. Previously, Huang declared, "I do not believe justice cannot be restored. I will go to war. Please support me." The media speculates that Wang's visit could reignite a "bloody storm."
The inheritance left by Xu Xiyuan is estimated to exceed 600 million Taiwanese dollars (approximately $19 million USD). Under Taiwanese civil law, Xu's two children with Wang are entitled to two-thirds of the inheritance. However, as their legal guardian, Wang could potentially control the substantial estate.
Wang Xiaofei returned to Beijing on February 11 with his new wife, leaving his two children in Taiwan. He did not attend Xu Xiyuan's funeral. On Valentine's Day, Wang was seen treating his current wife to an expensive dinner and gifts, drawing public criticism.
The public has criticized Wang's actions, stating, "Wang Xiaofei's love drama is over." After Xu's passing, Wang was seen walking in the rain without an umbrella, seemingly for the cameras. False rumors circulated that Wang's mother covered the costs of Xu's funeral in Japan and the charter flight to Taiwan.
As a result, Wang Xiaofei and his mother, Zhang Lan, faced indefinite bans from Chinese social media platforms like Weibo and TikTok.

Koo also criticized Wang Xiaofei and his family's behavior, saying, "Even before the time of mourning and great loss has passed, devil-like people have begun to slander our family and my love." He continued, "Some pretend to be sad, walking in the rain, while others hurt us with fake news about insurance and expenses."
Xu Xiyuan passed away on February 2 from acute pneumonia caused by the flu while traveling in Japan with her family for the Lunar New Year. Her estate is reportedly valued at approximately 1.2 billion yuan ($180 million USD).
Xu Xiyuan married Wang Xiaofei in 2011 and had a son and a daughter. They divorced in November 2021 after ten years of marriage. She later married Koo Jun-yup on February 8, 2022.
