Police Conclude Investigations into WINNER's Mino Over Military Service Allegations

During a regular press briefing on the 17th, a police spokesperson stated, "We conducted two rounds of questioning with Song Min-ho on the 23rd of last month and the 15th of this month. We will determine the validity of the allegations based on the materials obtained through search and communication investigations. A conclusion will be reached shortly."
The police initiated an investigation into Song Min-ho following a request from the Military Manpower Administration regarding potential violations of the Military Service Act. They have already conducted a search and seizure at the community facility in Mapo-gu where Song Min-ho served, securing CCTV footage and other materials. The investigation is focused on allegations of inadequate service.
Song Min-ho served as a social service agent from March 2023 until his discharge on December 23, 2024. Allegations of inadequate service were previously raised by a media outlet, which claimed to have visited the Mapo community facility over ten times without ever seeing Song Min-ho. Additionally, it was alleged that attendance records, which are manually recorded by public service workers, were manipulated with the tacit approval of the supervisor.
In response to the controversy, YG Entertainment stated, "We cannot confirm detailed information regarding the artist's service. However, we clarify that the medical leave was an extension of treatment received prior to service, and all other leaves were used in accordance with regulations," denying the allegations of inadequate service.
