K-Pop Group NewJeans Rebrands as NJZ, Set to Perform at Hong Kong's ComplexCon
The popular K-pop group NewJeans has announced a rebranding to NJZ and is gearing up for a performance at the upcoming ComplexCon in Hong Kong next month.

On the 7th, NewJeans changed the name of their unofficial account, 'jeanzforfree,' to 'njz_official.' They also revealed their participation in the 'Complex Live' concert, a side event of the global street fashion and culture festival 'ComplexCon,' taking place from November 21-23 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. This will mark NJZ's first performance under their new name.

Member Minji expressed her excitement, stating, "I am thrilled to take the stage as NJZ for the first time and showcase a new side of us. This performance is a significant moment, and I eagerly anticipate sharing our new music with fans worldwide."

The five members of NewJeans have been pursuing independent activities since notifying their agency, ADOR, of their contract termination on November 29 last year. Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has remained silent on multiple tampering allegations, only selectively addressing non-core issues.

In response, ADOR filed an injunction on the 13th to prohibit NewJeans from engaging in agency activities and signing advertising contracts. NewJeans has appointed Sejong, the same legal representative as Min Hee-jin, to counter the injunction. This shared legal representation has sparked discussions within the entertainment and legal communities.
