Singer Lee Seung-hwan Sparks Debate with Comments on Elders and Adults

On October 13, Lee Seung-hwan posted a recommendation for the documentary film 'Adult Kim Jang-ha' on his Instagram, stating, 'I hope you watch 'Adult Kim Jang-ha.'' He added, 'There should be a distinction between elders and adults. If someone has lived a long life without gaining insight or wisdom, merely accumulating shallow knowledge and a poor philosophy, they are just an elder. True adults are rare and precious.'
Some of Lee's fans took to the comments section to criticize Na Hoon-a, saying, 'An elder who thinks they know everything just because they hold the top title in their field,' and 'Before calling others rude, watch the film and learn.' They expressed a desire to become 'true adults' rather than just aging elders.
Conversely, fans of Na Hoon-a defended him, criticizing Lee Seung-hwan. They commented, 'Lee Seung-hwan is also over 60, is he an elder or an adult like Na Hoon-a?' and 'Retiring from the entertainment industry and speaking one's mind without worrying about making a living is what a real man does.'
Previously, on October 11, Na Hoon-a criticized the political scene during his retirement performance, raising his arms and saying, 'The left is blaming the right for everything.' He pointed to his left arm and asked, 'Have you done well?'
When opposition figures criticized his remarks, Na Hoon-a responded on October 12, saying, 'We must not leave such a country to our future generations. How dare they criticize when an adult is speaking?'
