Sung Si-kyung Caught Off Guard by Marriage Questions on TV Show

Singer Sung Si-kyung was taken aback by unexpected questions about marriage.

On the December 29th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Baekban Journey with Heo Young-man' (hereafter referred to as 'Baekban Journey'), cartoonist Heo Young-man and Sung Si-kyung shared a year-end meal together.

During the broadcast, Sung Si-kyung confessed, "Once I start something, I can't let it go easily." He humorously added, "Someone recently said I could drink 30 bottles of soju. I joked that I wish my stocks would rise like my drinking capacity. Maybe in two years, I could handle 120 bottles."

Heo Young-man then asked, "You've been very active, Sung Si-kyung. What do you do with all the money you've earned?" Sung Si-kyung replied, "I think this is the first time I'm talking about this. I've been a famous singer for 24 years. I seem like a boring person. I don't like cars, I don't buy clothes, and I don't own a watch."

When asked where he spends his money, Sung Si-kyung said, "On alcohol. I realized I was successful when I could eat without worrying about the price since my 20s. But I don't drink champagne worth hundreds of thousands of won. I don't even know how much I have, but I assume it's quite a bit." He added, "I don't invest in stocks or cryptocurrency. I work hard and drink hard."

Heo Young-man joked, "Women would love someone like you when they get married." Sung Si-kyung added, "I enjoy good food, drinks, exercise, and my life as a singer. I'm also working hard on YouTube."

Later, Heo Young-man asked Sung Si-kyung, "Why aren't you getting married?" which caught him off guard. Sung Si-kyung laughed awkwardly and diverted the topic by asking, "What drinks do we have here?" This elicited laughter, but Heo Young-man persisted, saying, "With your character, all women would like you."

Sung Si-kyung responded, "I think I missed the timing a bit. In this profession, the dating pool is limited. It depends on the person, but I'm not the type to be overly active." He smiled and added, "I thought we were here to talk about food, but it seems we're discussing something else."
