K-pop Star Mino from WINNER Under Investigation for Alleged Military Service Violations
The Military Manpower Administration has requested a police investigation into WINNER's Mino, also known as Song Min-ho, over allegations of inadequate service as a social service agent, potentially violating military service laws.

On the 26th, a representative from the Military Manpower Administration confirmed to Ten Asia, "We have requested a police investigation into Song Min-ho for violating military service laws." The representative added, "We have completed our internal review, but there are matters that require verification by the police."

If the allegations of inadequate service are proven true, Song Min-ho's discharge from service could be revoked, and he would be required to complete the remaining service period.

Earlier in March, Song Min-ho faced accusations of not fulfilling his duties properly after transferring to the Mapo Resident Convenience Facility. Allegations surfaced that he signed the attendance log in bulk and colluded with a supervisor, identified as Mr. L, to cover up his absences.

YG Entertainment, Mino's agency, responded to the allegations stating, "It is difficult to confirm the details regarding the artist's service," but clarified, "The medical leave was an extension of treatment received before the service, and all other leaves were taken in accordance with regulations."

As the controversy escalated, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced, "I have ordered an urgent comprehensive investigation into the service status of social service agents in Seoul and its affiliated institutions." He further stated, "Based on the investigation results, we will take strict measures and, if necessary, propose improvements to the Military Manpower Administration to ensure fair military service obligations."
