Park Seo-jin Wins Rookie Award at 2024 KBS Entertainment Awards
On the 21st, Park Seo-jin was awarded the Rookie Award at the '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards', a celebration that honors entertainers and viewers who have brightened KBS variety shows throughout the year.
Park Seo-jin was nominated in the Reality category for the KBS2 show 'Mr. House Husband Season 2' (hereafter 'Mr. House Husband'), alongside Nam Yoon-soo, Park Seo-jin, Park Young-kyu, Lee Sang-woo, and Lee Soon-sil. The prestigious Rookie Award, which can only be received once in a lifetime, was shared by Park Seo-jin and Lee Sang-woo. Surprised by the announcement, Park Seo-jin received congratulations from 'Mr. House Husband' cast members Eun Ji-won, Park Young-kyu, Lee Min-woo, and Baek Ji-young as he took the stage. The venue was filled with cheers from Park Seo-jin's fans, known as 'Dachbyeol'.
Upon receiving the Rookie Award, Park Seo-jin expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Thank you. I never expected this, but I am truly honored to receive this award and give an acceptance speech at a place I only saw on TV. I will work harder in the future.” He also promoted 'Mr. House Husband' by urging viewers to vote for it as the Best Program, showcasing his dedication to the show.
Park Seo-jin joined 'Mr. House Husband' in January this year and quickly became a driving force behind its high ratings. His genuine personality brought both empathy and laughter, and he showcased his multifaceted charm through various episodes. Notably, his chemistry with his sister Park Hyo-jung created memorable episodes, and his candid sharing of personal stories garnered heartfelt support from viewers.
Park Seo-jin's outstanding performance had long predicted his Rookie Award win. His consistent enthusiasm for the award added to the enjoyment of 'Mr. House Husband', making his victory unsurprising. With a deep affection for the show, Park Seo-jin has been actively participating every week, and his promising career is expected to continue into the next year.
Meanwhile, 'Mr. House Husband', the KBS flagship variety show that earned Park Seo-jin his Rookie Award, airs every Saturday at 9:20 PM.
