Lee Ji-ah and Kim Go-eun Reveal Unique Culinary Tastes on 'Just the Two of Us'
Actresses Lee Ji-ah and Kim Go-eun have shared their unique culinary preferences.
On the October 8th episode of the tvN variety show 'Just the Two of Us,' Kim Go-eun and Lee Ji-ah enjoyed pairing different foods together. During the episode, Lee Ji-ah expressed her hunger, asking, "When are we going to eat?" When asked what she wanted to eat, she replied, "I want to have Songhwa Dan (century egg) porridge. I must eat it here." Kim Go-eun added, "I was told to try something called squid soup." The two decided to enjoy their meals separately and then bring back food for each other.
Lee Ji-ah tasted the century egg porridge and immediately exclaimed, "It's so delicious," with a happy smile. She couldn't hide her delight, saying, "I'm so happy, it's really delicious." She added, "I think I smile to myself when something tastes good. I often eat alone and smile to myself." Lee Ji-ah ended up finishing two bowls of the porridge. Later, Lee Ji-ah and Kim Go-eun visited a Michelin Green Star restaurant showcasing New Taiwanese cuisine. Lee Ji-ah mentioned that among the foods she had tried, barley grilled fish stood out in her memory. Kim Go-eun responded, "For me, it was skate dumplings. The dumplings were really delicious." Lee Ji-ah added, "Don't you remember the golden axe? The presentation was memorable, and the idea was great."
Kim Go-eun reflected on their culinary journey, saying, "The world is vast, and there are so many delicious things we haven't tried. It feels like we've experienced Taiwan in a short time." Lee Ji-ah compared their experience to "a well-aired whiskey over a month. The whiskey matured, and so did our taste, deepening over time."
