DEAN Returns with New Double Single '3:33' Featuring FKJ
R&B artist and singer-songwriter DEAN is making a comeback after a year-long hiatus.
According to Universal Music, DEAN will release his double single '3:33' on October 29 at 1 PM across global music streaming platforms.
This double single is a collaborative project between DEAN and French house artist FKJ, known for his hit 'Tadow' with over 500 million views on its music video and tracks like 'Ylang Ylang' and 'Vibin' Out', boasting over 6.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The project, which includes two tracks, was developed through a collaboration between the two artists across Korea and Japan.
The first track, 'NASA (feat. FKJ)', features a balanced sound that captures the essence of both FKJ and DEAN. The lyrics cleverly play on the dual meaning of 'NASA'—the U.S. space agency—and the Korean idiom '나사가 빠지다', which translates to 'losing one's screws'. The track was co-produced by T.Y and No identity alongside FKJ and DEAN.
The second track, 'Ctrl (feat. FKJ)', is an unexpected club tune from the duo, expressing complex emotions such as betrayal, anger, and longing after a breakup through fast-paced and intense rhythms and sounds. This track was also co-produced by T.Y and No identity.
The official video for 'NASA', released alongside the single, features renowned Japanese music video director takemichi “osrin” kawachi. Known for his work with top Japanese artists like King Gnu and XIIX, osrin brings his unique style and visual flair to the video, enhancing the music's impact. The video, featuring DEAN and FKJ, includes sophisticated visuals such as candlelit pianos and ballet dancers, promising to captivate audiences.
DEAN's double single '3:33' will be available on all major music streaming platforms on October 29 at 1 PM.
